Is there a way to turn on a Power Supply without connecting it to the mobo?

Question is in the title. I have a PS with a dying fan, is there a way to turn on the PS without pluging it in to the mobo? I think I have to connect a black and green wire or something. Thanks for the help.

D'oh! I should have searched first. Yes, connect the green to a black with a paperclip and that should work.
