While playing a game the other night ... My computer locked up...I restarted it back but it wouldn't post ..the fans and HD's all powered up but nothing else ..no beeps or anything. I have the Giga-byte Ga-7vrxp. and an AMD 2100+ cpu ..I called Gigabyte for RMA and they told me to test my CPU first in another system...Problem is I do not have or know anyone that has an AMD system that I can ask to pop out there Cpu for a minute. He said it would not post or beep if the CPU was bad ...any suggestions...My first guess was the MB but now who knows..

thanks

Yeah, that is kinda ridiculous to ask you to test out your CPU in another system. But, I would agree that it is pointing towards your CPU. Try resetting it. I remember Abit mobos had a stiff ZIF socket that required some people to push down on it while clamping.
