I just did some cabling, and i have a 100Mb hub with 100Mb cards, and cat5 cabling, is there a program that will test the actual speed of my network?

i did qcheck, but i dont understand how it show how fast my network is

i have a linksys 10/100 hub, and i transfered win2k SP2 file from one pc to another, and it took about a min and 1/2....

would a switch help, or what? i have full duplex 100Mb set on all nics..

Qcheck measures TCP/IP transfer (no NetBEUI).

The software has two parts:

1. The actual program.
2. A memory resident component called endpoint that has to be put on each computer on the network.

End point has to go to the startup folder, and all the computer has to be rebooted, so it is load in memory.

When this is done you have to use WinIPCFG and write down all the Ips?.

You start Qcheck, and you can measure the actual speed in Kb/sec. It is a great tool, and use by many as standard measure.
