Is there a way to tell why a thread of mine was deleted?

It was in the for sale/trade forum and I went to check it and it was deleted? I just want to know did I maybe do something wrong? And if so I would like to know what (it's beyond me) so that I won't do that again.
 
You could do a search using your own user name in the author field, check the results for your thread there. Also you might try logging in and view the "today" page for similar results.
 
it would be a nice feature that if a thread is deleted the originator is send an automatic generic PM from the mod.
