Is there a way to tag your e-mails?

basically what I want to know is... is there a way that you can find out if someone recieved your e-mail or to find out if they read it?
PM me if it might endanger the continuation of this thread.

But there has to be a way to know. Like a way to ping a server to see if the message is still there or something?

im sure you can if it's an HTML e-mail
like set up some kind of script on a server and insert a tag in the e-mail to trip the script when it's read

Well you can request a receipt in programs such as Outlook I believe, but the receiver has an option not to send the receipt.

its an option in outlook, look in the help for read reciepts.
