I feel like this "should" be possible, but I don't know how. haha.

I have a ton of music on my computer. more than is practical to store/manage on a mobile device.

every time I buy a CD, I rip the entire thing to my hard drive and then add the handful of good songs onto a "singles" playlist.

are there any programs out there that would automatically pull whatever files are on the playlist onto my phone, or am I just going to have to suck it up and do it manually?

DoubleTwist supports iTunes playlists and will sync them. Not sure if it supports playlists from any other program. Winamp sort of does this too.

Doubletwist doesn't work with every playlist. I use isyncr now and it works 100%. Download it through the android marketplace and follow the guide.

This is exactly what I do. I only sync certain playlists and the files associated to them.

Mediamonkey does this beautifully. Just go to the sync options for your device and make sure it syncs the playlists you want. Your phone should show up simply as removable storage.

Winamp does it for me. However, I use google music now so I don't need to transfer the files just change the playlist.
