Is there a way to stop PowerDVD 6 from going online?

I installed it on a friend's laptop, who has aol (I know, I know but she gets it for free) but every time she starts it up it tries to connect to internet. I checked the Configuration settings and didn't see anything that would make it go online.

I told her just to switch to other software but she loves it for its power-saving battery mode.

Any ideas how to get it to stop? I tried Windows firewall but it didn't detect it - is there a way to maybe add a program to restrict in Windfows firewall, instead of just adding Exceptions?

thanks in advance:)

I suggested that too, but she likes the auto dial setting for all her other apps, she's kind of finicky like that...

I don't know about other solutions, but this is where Zone Alarm really comes in handy. It's amazing how many programs insist on phoning home. That's one reason why I run ZA in addition to my harware firewall.
