Is there a way to stop a 2.4 GHz cordless phone and a 2.4 GHz router

Ok, so pretty much... Someone decided to put a 2.4 GHz cordless phone in the same room with my wireless router. Everytime someone uses the phone, it messes with my router's signals, thus giving me no internet due to no connection. All my phones are 2.4 GHz too... :(... Not willing to buy a new phone or disconnect the phone itself.

Is there anyway to work around this?

If you have a cheap cordless phone, then probably not. They're designed to jump frequencies now and then, the better ones will never interfere because they recognize that a specific frequency is in use and goes to a different one. You could try selecting a different channel on your router, at least 5 away from the one it's currently on, that may help. I just went and got 5.8ghz phones and they work a hell of a lot better.

Move the cordless phone receiver? Most cordless phones have ridiculous batteries now, you would probably only have to charge it overnight.

yeah, i have the same problem, i just bought 5.8 ghz phones. Although, I still have two 2.4 but I try not to use them since my wife yells at me that she's lost her connection. Since there are really only three 802.11b/g channels (1,6,11), if you've tried all 3 your pretty much out of luck.
