Is there a way to set your history to never delete old items?

My history in internet explorer 5.5 is 99 weeks old.... the maximum I can set before it deletes though is 999 days 🙁. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to make it so that there is no delete date, and if so, how? Thanks!

Do you know how to use the favorites file ?????????
If you "have to" go into win explorer and copy history to a floppy and start over ????????????????????????
 
search the registry for daystokeep, you can set it to whatever you want. it will get reset if you ever go into internet options and click ok.
