I'm using win2k server to host some applications and want to know how I can get a log of all the users who have logged onto the server. Is there an easy way of doing this?
Does windows produce a log? Or is the event view the only way? I'm not a big fan of how event viewer does it since it gives a few event messages for each logon.

The event viewer is accessing the log (there are just multiple events logged when someone logs on).
If you dont like the view than you can filter out the undwanted events by right-clickin on the event log and going to properties than visiting the filter tab.
Alternatly you can also do quite a bit in your audit configuration to limit what is actually logged.
