Is there a way to save .asx files?

My wife is taking an online class that requires her to watch a 60 minute video, something which our 56k at home cannot fathom. I thought I could download and save the movie with a faster connection at the university, but I think the .asx file is a redirect.

Any of you have any experience doing this? The "Save Target As" command only saves the .asx file which instructs the computer to start streaming video.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks for reading

It is on an ASU website which you need a password to get at. When I open the asx file in notepad it gave me the link below

mms://media.scctv.net/annenberg/Arts_in_Every_Classroom_WS_01.wmv

I changed the mms to http, but I cant save it, only stream

I dont think it is wrong to save it, its not like we are going to redistribute it or anything. Is there a way to record it whn I play with Windows Media Player?
