their might be some monitor adapter that turns the VGA/CRT connection into s-video or the yellow RCA connection, but loss is imminent.

without buying additional equipment, your PS2 will not hook to your monitor. Cheapest bet would probably be a cheap TV tuner card. There are VGA boxes for the PS2 but it's just a line doubler. The PS2 is not like the Dreamcast and cannot natively output a VGA signal.

www.lik-sang.com would be your best bet for a RCA to VGA converter. It'll usually run about 30-40 dollars. That being said... that's the same price as a decent TV-IN card... so you might as well just buy that and get more functionality from it. I use one with my GC and I love it.
