is there a way to play a 'protected' cd (music) on the computer?

i know windows media player works... but is there a way to get winamp to play this "protected" cd... i just like winamp and i want to play this cd thru winamp...its good charlottee by the way. good cd! thanks
 
nevermind hehe.. it does work...!

but does anyone kno how to select play cd.. from when winamp is opened?

Go to the playlist and add the directory that is your CD-rom drive. It'll do the rest.
 
haha .. dude i posted this same topic the day before yesterday... in fact it was regarding this same CD (though i didnt mention the title)

use winamp.. click the little star looking thing on the top left border of the winamp box... then play, then either selection, or audio cd.

hope it works for you. it did for me.
 
The only way to play protected CD's is to take a Sharpie marker and cover the entire bottom of the CD in black. 😉
 
also.. you could always rip the cd to mp3. that way you'd have a back up on your hard drive and you could add it to a massive playlist. I rip all of my cds and now my playlist is aproaching 3500 songs.
