Go into the display properites (right click your desktop and choose properties). Choose screen saver and then the power option.

no no, I know that.... But Power Options only allows me to specify turning off the monitor after X mins of inactivity...

I want something like I can press a key and the monitors will go into standby mode immediately...

What's the difference between pushing a button on your keyboard and pushing the power button on your monitor?

Turning off the monitors totally takes longer for them to come back up compare to just having them in standby...

Also running multiple monitors... so I was looking for some way to make all of them go into standby with 1 key (and all of them come back up with 1 key), rather than me turning them off (then on again) one by one...

Plug 'em all into the same power outlet. Far as turning em back on ... why? You've got 2K, bust out some remote administration. :D
