Is there a way to make all explorer windows open at a certain size?

Is there a way to force all new explorer windows to open at a larger size? Vista remembers window size settings for folders I've been in, but folders I haven't explored open up at an annoying 800x600. This only applies to folder windows that are opened by another application (like when you click on "open containing folder" in µTorrent), but it'd be nice if I could find a way around it.

Whats' frustrating is that the previous window size is remembered sometimes. It's as if there's a random number generator at work.

For me so far (at least since my reformat last week) it has been remembering window sizes, but only for windows I've opened already. Every time I save a torrent to a different folder and use open file location in utorrent, it comes up at 800x600.
Actually, I wouldn't mind too much if it didn't remember different sizes but let you change the default 800x600 size to something else, so that everything opened at the dimensions you set. Is the 800x600 value in the registry, or somewhere else where it can be changed? Or is it hard coded and not editable?

That is the question. My contention is that it's random. It's more random on vista than xp. It does this after a fresh install with nothing installed other than h/w drivers. If I knew how to make the explorer operate in a deterministic fashion, I'd have posted it.

Folder Options:
display content of sys, hidden files and folders
don't hide anything
don't launch in a separate process
don't remember each folder's view settings
