I saw a program once that would set up a virtual CD-ROM drive in a folder on your hard drive. I think it was called virtual CD. The drive actually appeared in Device Manager...very cool.

as long as you own the game, you could probably get a crack ( not sure on legality of this)

Thanks Everyone,

No, I didn't burn it... The reason I wanted to have it run without a CD in the player is because after a hard day of work on our PC, I just wanted to click on the game for a fast game without the the hassle of looking for the CD... I just wanted it to be very convenient... It takes no Controller so if I get it to work with out the CD it would be great.

Kazi,

What's PM?

your right...its from norton, and it creates an image of the CD on the HDD, and tells the program to use the image instead of the CD drive....goto gamecopyworld.com and see if there is a crack for it, otherwize, get virtual cd

Actually, that's pretty much what the Daemon Tools, linked to below, do, just better and for free. Not as user friendly, though.

The mods don't like requests for cracks/info. I can't find the link to the post they made requesting they dont appreciate requests (and lump them in the same catagory as warez.), so you'll have to take my word for it.

Or check out this link

Thanks Guys,

But I'm going to have to pass on this one (little to shady for me); I just thought I could do something simple accomplish this... I have no desire to break any laws.

Thanks again for trying to help, and Love You!

If you own the game it's certainly not illegal to crack, patch, whatever.

That may be, but there's no proof a person asking for a crack/instructions on backing up/etc actually owns the game. The mods have said they don't like requests for cracks/instructions on backing up CDs in the past, and that's good enough for me.
