I rip games into iso's, but I hate having to burn those to dvd to play in the xbox. Is there a program that lets me load them directly from the xbox hdd?

FlashFXP I think. You can FTP 'em to the HDD.

Check out XBox-Scene. There's a section in the tutorials under "EvolutionX" called "Life with a Modded XBOX". It covers how to set up your XBox to do stuff like that.

EDIT: Sorry, misunderstood your question. I think there's a way you can set up virtual drives with EvoX though.

Can you do a direct FTP from the XBox drive to the XBox hard disk? The last time I used that method back in October you had to copy to your PC hard disk first, then copy back to the XBox hard disk.

I already have all that setup, I have the .iso on the hdd, but what do actually open it with? I'll look into hddloader.

What dashboard are you using? I think in Evolution-X you just put the game in a folder within the Games folder on the E drive, then go to the "play games on hard drive" or whatever the selection is, and it should be listed there?

I've never tried it with a ripped game like you're trying to do, but I've downloaded some freeware games and demos and they've loaded up fine that way.

I could be talking about 2 totally different things though.

Yea what's basically what you do - HDDloader copies it directly from the drive to the Games folder on your C/E/F drive and it'll be listed there.

you need to extract the .iso to its componet files while it is still on your PC, then send the files to the xbox.

Actually, some programs can extract the files directly from the ISO while doing the FTP. Qwix does this for example.

Just use something like daemon tools to mount the image to a virtual drive, and then ftp it over to the box.

Um if you have the games and have a working modded xbox, just use DVD2Xbox, it will copy the game to your xbox for you and patch the correct files and it runs right off your xobx, thats what I do.

It takes aprox. 5-10 mins for it to copy/patch the files.

If you need some help with dvd2xbox pm me and I will see what I can help you with.
