I remember reading that Major League Baseball players have, on average, the quickest reflexes/reaction times of any group of people--we're probably talking in the range of 150-200ms, but I can't remember for sure. I do know it is sub 200ms. However, even those are several times slower than a cat.
Looking at the results from sprints in the 96 olympics, the best reaction time was Frank Fredericks (Namibia) in the 100 at 143 milliseconds.

Too bad johnson smoked him :)

See even best response time doesn't yield best results.
No Johnson did not smoke him. lol ;)

Actully Fighter pilots have the fastest reaction time.

I always thought that the knee jerk reflex was mediated by the muscle spindle organ in the quad muscle, but i could be wrong.

You have a link on that? I have a buddy in ROTC who is going to become a pilot, and from what he has told me there are no reaction tests involved in picking who gets to fly what. Major League Baseball players make it where they are based on reflexes and reaction times (and have a much bigger pool to draw from as compared to those who are interested in becoming fighter pilots).

Supposendly, athletes usually have the best reaction times, though I'd imagine some gamers have very fast twitch reflexes. Gamers would lack the muscles to back up the movements though, so their reaction times wouldn't matter much beyond what they can do with their fingers, as unless they're pumped up the rest of their movements would be so sluggish compared to an athlete that the athlete would easily accomplish pretty much anything before them. (well, anything based on just moving your muscles)

Averaged .237ms, though the first time I didn't realize what was going on and took excessively long.
Time 1: 0.344ms
Time 2: 0.203ms
Time 3: 0.218ms
Time 4: 0.218ms
Time 5: 0.204ms

So if you throw out the high time, I'm at 0.211ms. Sounds about where I've always tested on these tests, whether they're catching a falling ruler or one of these online tests. Heh, reminds me of how Wario Ware has a quick draw mini game that I think the lowest it goes is 0.3ms, so I pretty much never lose.
