Is there a way to get Windows XP key from registry?

well, my box has been giving me problems lately and im in a desperate need of a fresh format

yes, my XP Pro is legit, i bought it for 5$ from the university store but i left the cd case at home ... are there any ways i can extract the key from somewhere in the registry or on the harddrive so i can do a reinstall?

You want a program called keyfinder from here.
