Is there a way to get the ATX psu to output 16v?

I'm getting a 80w TEC and if I want it to perform as good at it should I need a output of 16w on my psu. Anyone know if this is possible?

I don't quite know which you mean in your subject you said 16v or volts but in the post itself you said 16w presumably watts. If you mean watts then yes your powersupply should be able to handle 16 watts if you have a 300watt ps. If you meant volts then no it is not possible, or at least not feasibly possible. You could try to go after the -5v connection from the powersupply that goes to your motherboard connection. That with the +12v would give you +17v, but I highly doubt it could take the load of a peltier and not burn out. Your other option would be to get a dc to dc voltage multiplier but those are hard to find, I would think expensive and again I don't think you could find any that could supply enough wattage to run a peltier. Your cheapest feasable option would be to buy a peltier that runs optimaly at 12v. Good luck...
