I get this message everytime I use IE 5.5:

A runtime error has ocurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

is there a way to get rid of it?

Not quite enough information in that post for me to be certain that you're talking about script debugging, but I suspect that you need to go into the Tools menu (of Internet Explorer), select Internet Options, select the Advanced tab on the dialog then check the "Disable script debugging" item, and uncheck the "Display a notification about every script error" item.
