Is there a way to force Radeon HD7850 to output 1080i and not 1080p?

My 15m long HDMI cable (which is connected to my TV through an Onkyo NR709 receiver) doesn't support 1080p. Is there a way to configure AMD Catalyst to always downgrade 1080p to 1080i?

Should be in the settings as when you connect it through hdmi should just see it as a TV panel and in there will allow you to set it for 1080i.....

which drivers are you using?

This is what I have installed:

Driver Packaging Version 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C
Catalyst Version 14.4
2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1390
Direct3D Version 9.14.10.01029
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.12874
AMD Catalyst Control Center Version 2014.0417.2226.38446
AMD Audio Driver Version 9.0.0.9905

I'll check out the CRU utility.

Catalyst Control Center > My Digital Flat-Panels > HDTV Support

"Add 1080i30 format to the Display Manager (NTSC)"

Or, make your own 1080i60 in the box below.

I don't think so? Give it a try, I don't have any devices that accept interlaced output.

Do you need to run 1080i and 1080p at the same time?

I'll try it as soon as I'm home.

I would like to use 1080i (for the TV) and 1080p (for the projector), but I've already given up on that because my receiver doesn't support different resolution modes for different HDMI outs. I was hoping to find a way to feed it with 1080i signal, as it's good enough for my needs and would work fine for both the TV and the projector. My BD player has a setting for resolution mode, but I couldn't find something similar in the PC. Hopefully the settings you're referring to can be tweaked to achieve this.
