So in Windows 7 there is a Favorites folder to easily reference various folders and locations on a computer. However I can't seem to find a way to export that information. Every google search I try with the terms windows explorer and export all refer to IE favorites. I've also looked under the user and appdata folder, but cant find anything pertaining to windows explorer favorites. Anyone know of a way to export that information?

IOW, go to C\Documents and Settings, then your name, then look for the folder with a star icon - that's it. Simply copy and synch. You can also search for the Favorites folder.

That's not correct.

Since we're talking Windows 7, %userprofile% is c:\users\%username%\, not Documents and Settings.

And it's not the Favorites folder with the Star icon...that Favorites folder is Internet Explorer favorites. The OP is talking about Windows Explorer favorites, which are in the Links folder under %userprofile%. They are not the same thing.

My bad! I was using XP Pro at the time. In Win 7 it is right there, the folder under the User Name is for IE. The other is above it above it and BOTH have gold stars. My Win7 Faves are directly copied from XP, and are the same in 8.1 in 4 computers. The Explorer Favorites is not a true folder, but contains things such as Desktop.ini, Recent Chages, etc. It is machine specific. You are correct - sorry about that!
