Is there a way to eliminate the logon password in XP

I know there is a way to NOT have XP ask you for a password everytime...I just don't know what it is....can someone please tell me.

Control Panel > User Accounts > pick an account to change.. > Remove my password

Thank you for the information ... I have now eliminated the need for the password, but when I first turn on the computer it still ask me for the password. I do not have to enter a password but I would like to eliminate the prompt that ask me for one.

Go to Microsoft's web-site, search for Windows XP PowerTools, find the TweakUI PowerTool, and install that. TweakUI allows you to pick a specific user account to always login as. BTW, it's a gaping security hole to have user accounts w/o passwords. W/ the Tweak method, you configure a USERNAME & PASSWORD to always login as, so it's OK to put a password in each user account.

before windows loads?

if so change it in your bios (boot section) if your bios is password protected then in the bios "change your password" enter your old password then when it asks for your new password just leave it blank and hit enter

this will remove a bios password
