Is there a way to download XP Hot Fixes and burn them to a disk ?

I'm trying to make a disk of hot fixes to install on a friends computer because he don't have internet service.

He does kind of bring up a point. Why does he need hotfixes, when he is not even on the net? Is he trying to get a hotfix for a particular issue he's having? If all you are getting for him are security updates, I don't see a need for it since he's not on the net.

If you did want to patch anyway, you/he can order a free Service Pack 2 CD from Microsoft here to start with. That also gets you DirectX 9.0C.

You can also use the Windows Update Catalog in Windows Update on any XP system to selectively download specific updates: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Windows-Update-Catalog.html

But I agree with Jack. If he has no Internet access, he doesn't need any updates except MAYBE the latest DirectX which any game that requires it will install for you anyway.
