Is there a way to download an evaluation copy of Windows 8

I would like to clone my Windows 7 drive to a spare drive and somehow download an evaluation copy of Windows 8 before I buy it. One reason is that a program I use (which is very expensive) supposedly wont work on Windows 8 but does on Windows 7.
Anyway, here is my questions
1. Is it possible as an individual to download a copy to evaluate.
2. If so, then does it void the original Windows 7 key when I put back the first hard drive that has Windows7
3. Where would I download a copy

You can still download it.

You can download it if you have a Microsoft email account. It worked with an old live.com address I never use and my wife's hotmail.com account.

The evaluation download is Windows 8 Enterprise. There is some differences between it and Windows 8 Pro.
