Is there a way to disable the speaker in your tower?

In the volume control panel, there is an Advanced option. click that button. There should be a PC spk mute checkbox... check it.

nevermind if its a mac...
 
Get some paper towels. Cover up all the little holes in the computer (they're just there for the sound to come out better. Holes are on both sides, so that it sounds a little bit like stereo.) 😛 🙂

LOL, I used to cheat in some games with that. If I was fighting a boss, I'd kick it out of turbo mode so I could dodge his punches better. If I had to walk around for a long time, turbo goes back on! I miss those days.
 
Is there an opening on the front where you can get at the speaker cone? Gouge at it with a bobby pin until it stops making noise.
