Is there a way to disable the CTRL+ALT_DEL?

OK, so I want to do a trick on my friend by using a screenshot as his background, removing all his icons, toolbar, etc., but I would like to do it well and make it virtually impossible for him to do anything on the computer. If he thinks that the system froze, he'll just do the CTRL+ALT+DEL and he'll see it's not frozen, therefore I'd like to remove that functionality (through the registry maybe)...BTW, this would be Win2K Pro...

Also, while we're on the topic of removing, is there any way to semi-permanently remove the taskbar in order to make this trick even better?

If you drag the taskbar to the top and then minimize it (hold the mouse above the edge and you will get the resize arrows) it will be in a wierd spot and hard to notice.

Yea, I used to minimize it on the bottom, in addition to autohiding it, but doing it on the top is a much better idea.

Thanks.

You can't disable ctrl+alt+del it's hard coded into the OS to bring up winlogin, MS say it ensure you know you're giving your password to Windows and not a trojan, but it's really pretty pointless.

Well, I for one don't need to press CTRL+ALT+DEL in order to get the logon screen. It just comes up by itself.
I know about the passowrd thing that microsoft is saying, but what's the point of that if I don't even have to do it in order to log on?
I thought there would be a registry hack to actually remove the functionality from when you're inside of Windows already. Say if I wanted to go to the task manager and turn off a program manually, etc. Also disabling the restart from happening when the combo is pressed twice should be possible to do via the OS, because it's just an interrupt.

I don't know...I was just wondering.

wow ! all devil face up there :)

Just though I would put a happy face in this thread... good idea. I sent some fool I used to work with a script that would shut down all of his running programs the other day... I don't think he has figured it all out yet and he hasn't gotten back to me... computer practical jokes are the funniest jokes because people think it is the end of the world if something goes wrong with their PC... LOL I love practical jokes!
