Is there a way to decode a Dolby Pro-Logic II signal to play through my 5.1 setup?

I am considering connecting my Gamecube to my computer via a VGA cable, and I would like to make use of my 5.1 setup as well.

Is there any software program out there, or other solution that would allow me to decode the audio signal into surround sound? I'm using a Game Theater XP for sound.

Thanks!

You should be able to get regular Pro Logic out of it. I wouldn't expect Pro Logic II cause it needs a special decoder, and I'm not sure if any sound cards will do PL 2 yet. You might find a cheap receiver with PL 2, but I know that even my receiver which is only about a year and half old won't do PL 2 and it can do pretty much everything else so I just use regular Pro Logic from it for my Game cube. Too bad the cube didn't release an optical line out with their setup and DD.

this is a great cost-effective PL2 receiver: denon rocks. $260 aint pocket change tho.

i use this one for my home entertainment. check pics of the inputs here and make sure you have all you need for your setup.

Worth a shot I guess. It does seem strange that Nintendo decided against an optical connection and 5.1 which seems to be standard nowadays.
