i have lectures i want converted to text. is there any programs out there that anyone would reccommend.

Thanks

No commercial or free software that I am aware of that can do this 🙁 Only text-to-voice, not the other way around.

None reliable, unless you can strap down the professor for a day and make him train the spech recognition for Dragon (or similar) software.

I don't see why text recognition software wouldn't at least make a good attempt at it. What difference is there between talking into a crappy microphone vs. piping in the audio directly from the recording device (out from the recorder, in to the microphone jack). It's worth a try I guess.

doesn't the latest MS Word (or possibly Windows) have some sort of speech recognition built in?

or am i imagining this?
