Is there a way to completely get rid of the mouse cursor in Win98?

I know, it sounds stupid. However, we need the mouse that's on that computer. It's sole purpose it so that the mouse cursor isn't right in the middle of the screen. It's a radio on-air computer, and the mouse cursor is in the way. The DJ wants it moved. We need that mouse for another computer.

Is there a way to get rid of the mouse cursor?

I don't think there is a way to get rif of the cursor completely. I will say that a possible solution is a cheap mouse. One can be had for a couple bux...

Thanks for the reply.

I'm hoping to avoid having to purchase a new mouse, not only because it would be better to save $5, but because I'd like to have it before the computer stores open at 930.

Could I just create a mouse pointer that is a dot? Or transparent?

Hmmm, good question. I don't know if the .cur format supports tranparency... There has got to be a cursor editing software that you could try though. A dot should be doable, just make a cursor with one pixel maybe? I didn't even think in terms of making a cursor...

Yay me! Found IconForge. Should do what you want...

Good luck!

Go to Settings -> Control Panel -> Accessibiltiy Options and select the 'Mouse' tab. Then check "use mouse keys" by pressing Alt-M. Change the settings to make the movement faster. Then, just move the cursor to the lower right corner of the screen, out of view.
