You can take a look in Start/Control Panel/System/Device Manager, but this just gives general information.

A system info program like Everest can tell you exactly what type of CPU/RAM/MB you have (to a point; the hardware has to have the right info programmed into it), and what expansion cards you have installed.

An even more comprehensive source of information is to go to START, RUN, then type SYSINFO and hit ENTER. You will then get the SystemInformation array where you can selectively look at hardware, software, etc.

Try www.belarc.com and hit the Free Download button to get Belarc Advisor. It checks software and security but also has a lot of info about the board, chipset, BIOS, hard drive, etc.

Tells me everything in the world about my Inspiron 5100 except what I wanted to know: I know my video card is a Mobility Radeon 7500. What I don't know is if it is a 16mb or 32mb. Anyone got a suggestion on how to find this?
