another website I frequent has games with tetris being one. some of these people score in the 300k's consistently. Today i was playing and noticed the high score was 890k. my high score is in the 60k range and the pieces move pretty fast. I cant imagine how fast they move in 6 figure range. Do I just suck? Is there a way to get more points than just knocking out 4 rows at a time?

I used to cheat when i played on our OLD Packerd Bell computer with a turbo button, when you turned off turbo, the pieces would fall half as slow, and was much easier to place them :)

Combination of you sucking and them being really really good. Another possibility is that the high score table is insecure and they can just packet spoof. If that was the case you'd probably see 99999999999999999999999 though and not 890k so it's probably real

a little off topic, every time I vist my inlaws, we always have gameboy tetris matches. When we were there for Christmas, I took it to my sister-, mother-, and aunt-in-laws. hollah (free bump)

Because you probably dont know this, but....

If you start at level 1, and you get a tetris you probably get like 1000 pts. At level 9 you get say 5000 pts (this is ballpark and made up numbers here.)

Here is the kicker, at the beginning of the game choose level 9. Then every tetris you get is worth 5000 pts. You wont level up to 10, until you have as many lines as you would need going through levels 1-9. This will make your score tremndously higher.

This lesson in tetris is brought to you by Lash444....that will be $50 please
