Is there a way to capture sound card output to a file?

Googled but lack of good keywords drowned me with useless hits.

I'm trying to save the sound that's in a Flash file but a SWF decompiler is overkill. If I could just somehow capture the sound card output to a file, it would be good enough even if the quality isn't top notch.

Thanks for the pointer. $30 is a bit steep, I was hoping for something that cost less.

That was a good lead - it led me to some better keywords for googling, and I found a freeware app that worked pretty well. Only records up to 10 minutes, but that's fine for what I'm doing.

It was called ADC Sound Recorder.
