Is there a way to 'benchmark' the improvement adding 256MB ram?

I am adding 256MB of RAM to the existing 256MB installed in my laptop.

Is there a way to do a 'before and after' test/benchmark to see how much 'improvement' the doubling of RAM gives me?

Thanks.

i suspect the general use benchmark should prove the huge difference by itself ;)

You think there will be a discernable difference between 256MB to 512MB? My laptop's max RAM is 512.

Take a look at task manager sometime ;)

I can't stand only having 512 MB of RAM on a system, so if you were used to 256 MB, i'm sure going to 512 MB should be a very noticeable boost :)
