Is there a way to back up my OS and apps (5.5GB), and then apply to a newly formatted drive?

I currently have 1 27.3GB drive installed in my rig with about 5.5GB being used. I recently acquired a 2nd 27.3GB drive and would like to stripe(raid 0) these two drives. Is there an easy way to do this or am I gonna have to just start from scratch again? Thanks!

Your OS will make a difference as to what options you have. If you have access to a 6GB or larger harddrive and are runninng Win9X, I can suggest something. I'm not familiar with any software that will transfer an image to a raid setup. Have you tried doing a search of the forums yet?

Well, I did the same idea onyl with a scsi setup and here is what I did. Use norton Ghost to take an image of my drive, put it on a cd-r (I barely made it fit 2gig with max compression). Formatted and the I installed my apps and os the old fashioned way. Using ghost, I just exracted my MP3's, files and docs. really no different than just using a compression and backup service, but I found it easier. Good luck, post what your final descision was and if it was using an image if it worked...
