Is there a way to add more quick launch icons

Sorry I guess I was not clear. I want to display them all at the same time. When I drag and drop them I am limited to three and need to click to see the rest of them.
 
right click the taskbar and make sure "lock the taskbar" is unchecked.

you should just be able to grab the quick launch tool bar and resize it
 
Sounds like the taskbar is locked. Right click on the TB and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar". You can then right the separator bar on the right side of Quick Launch to make it as large as you want.
