Is there a way that I can use my Sony video camera in Netmeeting?

I have a Sony video camera that only has RCA Video and Audio out.
I'm wondering if theirs a piece of hardware I could buy (not a new video card) that would allow me to use my Video Cam in place of a web cam.
I'm not limited to just Netmeeting. Would there be a specific program I would have to use to view this or will any program that supports video work (ie netmeeting, all the chat messenger programs)?

There is hardware out there but I am thinking that it will be at least as expensive if not more so then a standard webcam.

I was hopeing there was a cord of some sorts I would be able to buy that would run from my Video Cam to a USB port and then have some software interpert this signal to be use like a cam.

Another thing to consider is your camera. Most have an auto-off function (say, 5 minutes), and the auto-off cannot be turned off on most cameras, even if using external power (at least, none that I looked at). So, you'll be in a videoconference, and then the camera suddenly shuts down after X number of minutes.

Plus, you might have to Rec/Pause to feed your face into the videoconference...and some cameras automatically unpause to save wear and tear on the heads, so you'll actually be recording.

Find out what your camera can do before you go buy a bunch of hardware.
