Is there a way I can go about getting Papers for my dog?

So I got my dog from my friend who didn't really want to keep him cuz he pissed everywhere... I got him for cheap -- the problem is... he doesn't have any of his "papers" and certifications or whatever.

I've taken him to have his vaccinations and whatnot.

Is there a procedure that I can take to get his lost papers?

Unless the dogs parents were registered AKC or any other kennel club, that can verify its pedigree...your sh!t outta luck.

Apparently it's pretty easy to get an animal registered. 20/20 or Dateline did one of their things where they got papers for a dog that was no longer living and AKC papers for a cat.

May as well register him to vote..and mabe he can go to jury duty for ya...........😉
