I'm using a combination of FF and Opera on two different computers, I've exported the Bookmarks into files, and on my virtual machine imported all three of them, now I'm wondering if 1. There is a better way to combine my bookmarks and 2. If I can clean up my bookmarks or not.

Another possibility is Available Here. It's a freeware download called AM-Deadlink at that site. There's a support forum there, and the software is VERY good at going through Internet Explorer favorites. You can use its Options menu to configure it to look through Opera and Mozilla bookmark files.

The program tests all of the URLs and makes a report about Errors and Status (404s, 405s, redirections, etc.). It allows you to sort the bookmarks / favorites by the type of response received, name, URL. It lists the "folder" and absolute path of each favorite/bookmark. It allows you to search for duplicates. I have a huge collection of favorites, and I use this software to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I also had occasion to communicate with the author regarding the use of the software in conjunction with WLOC. He was very responsive and helpful.

Regards,
Ross
