According to Iwill,

<< "We had a series of ver 1.2 boards that had faulty components. The solution has been resolved and all future 1.2 boards from March 5th on are okay. Should customers find themselves with a faulty 1.2 version motherboard with limited overclocking features, please have them contact our RMA department at rma@iwillusa.com or 949-753-5488 ext. 105 for an immediate exchange or swap." >>

Maybe by Serial number?
This might help the unnecessary return of good boards and encourage buyers to not wait, or worse, to buy something else.

Unless you open up the box and inspect the motherboard, probaly not. However, you might be able to purchase motherboards directly from IWill. You'll surely get a working motherboard from them...
