Is there a VM for windows 7 Home Premium?

I do like the option in Windows 7 Pro that allow an XP Mode but to pay that extra money just to use a printer that doesn't have drivers for W7 or Vista just makes no sense. I could just as easily buy a new printer.

Is VMware a free Opensource prog?

The only downside to using virtualbox or vmware is that you need a regular windows XP license for the virtual machine. Most likely you have one around, but if you dont you will have to purchase one. The XP mode included with Win7 Pro is free, no need to spend any extra $$$ other than the $30 or so for the professional version.

It seems what makes the most sense is to use my Windows 7 Home Premium and Virtualbox with an old Windows 2000 or XP license just so I can run out my older pre-Vista printer. Then there's Dreamweaver8 I like to still use which has problems with running the updates in Windows 7.

I would just install Ubuntu but I occasionally like to play Bioshock or some other Steam game.
