is there a virus that prevents sending of email & going to www.symantec.com?

Yeah got a call from a friend who told me he thinks he got a virus. He's got a msn account & he can download mail but cannot send mail.

He also said if he goes to the NAV site, the thing crashes.... now I don't know if he means his browser or the entire OS.


Ever heard of a virus like that?

One of the email that the virus sends when it spread is an email without subject that has an attached filename Bill_gates_piece.jpg.pif
