Every place ive seen the oem is only like $5 cheaper or less, might as well go retail and get the full 3 year warranty and the adequate retail fan.

Yeah, but how often does the processor die? I am not doing any major overclocking, so I have high expectations for the chip. At $160, I can take the chance, especially considering what will be out there in a year or two.

One reason to buy retail is alot of places are known for testing OEM CPUs for overclocking ability and the duds are the ones that get sold to non-locals while the good ones go to local buyers and friends.
