Same thing happened to me, only he wasn't 18, but was a complete fvcking zero (in life, i mean). And in my case, she kept going out with him for a long ass time (so i'd imagine she didn't just grab this guy in order to shoo me away).. Anyway, I really feel for ya man.. That sucks!!

Y'know, gals are wired a little differently for guys. By nature they dread making somebody feel rejected, and as they hate feeling rejected and would prefer getting a subtle letdown, they try to give the same subtle letdown they'd prefer. It's not my style but it's the female style in general. It's not a deliberate attempt to be manipulative or deceptive, so you really shouldn't be that mad about it.
