Is there a utility that will let me play an audio file backwards?

I would think it wouldn't be that difficult to create that program, although I wouldn't have an idea how to do it, myself. I have an audio snippet that's supposed to be (and probably is) made from a tape that was playing through the machine backwards and I want to listen it it backwards (IOW, forwards). Does anyone know of a utility that will play sound backwards? TIA...

PS Will Protools allow me to do that? I have access to that.
 
I just installed Audacity 1.2.6 for Windows and it does have an effect called "reverse" which evidently does this.
