Is there a utility that will give me detailed info about my memory?

Want to up my memory to 2 GB but have to make sure it's right kind, right down to the memory timings. Would rather not open the box until I have to, given that it's on a shelf fairly high up.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks🙂
