My bro bought new computer parts and we put it together today. The mobo is MSI K7T Pro 2a, and the sound card is SB Live Value. The computer freezes every time it tries to load the card's drivers during the setup process. It freezes if the drivers are updated manually as well. And always in device manager (win98) the sound card entries have the "?" symbol. I've tried numerous driver installs, as well as updating directly from Creative's update downloads. I changed PCI slots but that had no effect. System information shows that it shares IRQ with one other inconsequential device. Any help would be appreciated. The last computer I set up did not do this, and it was same sound card, but with the MSI KT7 Pro.
