Is there a TV-out card that isn't a graphics card?

I think I just busted the TV-out on my 9700 pro so instead of getting it repaired (which I don't think I can do for free), I was wondering
if anyone knows of a card that isn't a graphics card, goes in a pci slot and will display my desktop on my tv? If anyone knows of one, please
tell me because I can't find one. Thanks.

And that would work how? How should a card that doesn't generate an image to start with feed one onto TV?

My MyHD HDTV PCI card will do that. As a bonus you get 2) ATSC/NTSC tuners, a remote and display support up to 1080i.

All those cards merely output THEIR OWN picture (the decoded DVD or TV stream), not the computer's desktop on the graphics card.

If you're refering to the MyHD, you are incorrect. It is capable of both.
