Is there a way to make the tesktop icon names, the titles under the icons, transparent so that it will match the color of the background wallpaper? right now, i have the blue background, and a black wallpaper, so the icon names will show up as blue on my black wallpaper. or is the only way to change the background color to match the wallpaper color?

thanks,
slim

Transtext unfortunately does not work with "Active Desktop", at least in Windows 2000.

One trick that helped me is to set the background color to a similar tone as the background picture, and therefore it will mostly harmonize or at least not look as bad.

If you use Microangelo, an Icon editing suite, you can easily make the background color transparent with one click, no need to have another program use resources to do such a medial task.
